Mervin the Monkey is the official mascot for Believe In Justice. He is also the Editor-in-Chimp at The Daily Justice, a crusading British newspaper covering public interest stories. His star reporter is the daring investigative journalist Milly Makegood (pictured below), whose undercover work is especially dazzling.

These are, of course, fictional creations. The idea is not to trivialise any of the campaigns we champion, but to better engage the busy public by using imaginative tools to drive interest and participation. Successful opt-out collective actions in the Competition Appeal Tribunal are vulnerable to low uptake among those affected, with industry reports suggesting that project handlers are not making the process easy for ordinary people to understand. That's why Mervin and Milly are on the case – to tackle the very real problem of class engagement and trust in the process. Believe in justice!
